ABOUT TERI JO SUMMER
| “Summer’s invitation to live fully in creativity comes through her radiant presence, her loving suggestions, and her playful dance with women to own their beauty inside and out. I have loved her work for years and love her commitment to women’s full power in the world!”
-Kathlyn Hendricks, The Hendricks Institute |

Teri Jo Summer creates from her studio on Whidbey Island, northwest of Seattle, in Puget Sound. She has the inspired gift of infusing everything she makes with an exquisitely refined sensibility. Little miracles show up in the detailing of the cloth she dyes, as well as the garments and accessories sewn one at a time. Presently, Summer’s work is available in fine galleries & boutiques throughout the United States, as well as in England, Sweden & Canada.Summer shares a wealth of life experience in her work with individuals. While formally schooled in the Humanities and Environmental Science, she departed the University of California for a rural lifestyle where she developed her art in relative seclusion. Building her business from the ground up, Summer has embraced her passion for gardening as the perfect metaphor for creative expression. Recently, Summer has offered consultations for artists & entrepeneurs seeking business models for successfully marketing unique items. She plans to continue teaching concepts of ‘manifesting abundance’ alongside a new paradigm of ‘looking good.’ Summer is certified as a Conscious Relationship and Body-Mind Vibrance Coach in conjunction with her ongoing learning as a graduate of the Hendricks Institute. Although she is inclined to focus on textiles and designing, she has completed a course in Theta Healing and is presently studying with the Life Essence Foundation and Awakenings at Bastry University. Ornament Magazine featured Summer as the cover story, Spring '04 (vol. 27 #3). An article about her work was accompanied by beautiful photographs and stories describing other artists, some of whom Summer continues to work with in collaboration. Visit: ornamentmagazine.com |
